INSTRUCTIONS
How To Inflate Your Paddle Board
inflates to 15 psi max
-
#1 Before inflating make sure the inflation valve is in the closed position which will allow air to go into the board but not come out. Do this by pushing the valve inward and rotating counter-clockwise then releasing it so it pops to the farthest outward/up position which indicates that it is closed and ready to inflate.
-
#2 Attach the pump hose to the pump by screwing the threaded end of the hose clockwise onto the threaded airflow exit port of the pump. It is important you use 2 fingers and rotate the threaded hose cap clockwise to tighten and do not tighten by grabbing the hose and twisting.
-
#3 Place one hand on the bottom of the board beneath the inflation valve for support. With your other hand, insert the pump nozzle firmly into the valve and then rotate clockwise until it fully locks/clicks into position so it stays in place while you are pumping the board and air cannot escape. Inserting the nozzle into the valve will become easier after a few uses. If air is escaping it means the pump nozzle was not fully locked into the inflation valve.
-
Note: Your board comes with a dual-action pump. At the top of the pump there is a small hole and cap attached by a string, this is your dual-action port. When the cap is on/closed your pump will be in dual-action mode and will inflate both on the up stroke & down stroke which is good for high volume airflow. When the cap is off/open your pump will be in single-action mode and will only inflate on the downstroke which is better for high pressure.
-
#4 Begin pumping your board with the dual-inflation cap on/closed for maximum airflow until you reach 5 psi. When you reach 5 psi remove/open the dual-action cap which changes the pump to single-action and will only inflate on the downstroke which is better for high pressure inflation. Inflate the board to a minimum of 10psi and up to a maximum of 15psi for optimal performance & rigidity.
-
Important: The pressure gauge will not begin to register until you reach around 5psi, so even if it appears to be inflated & firm to the touch you must continue pumping until the gauge begins registering. It does take some physical effort and will require 5-10 minutes to inflate depending on the physicality of the person pumping.
-
Pro Tip: Pumping technique - When pumping you must use full range of motion and take full up-and-down strokes with the pump or else the pump will not work optimally and will take much longer to inflate. Be sure to stand over your pump when pumping, use a straight back & arms while allowing your bodyweight to do the work.
-
Note: After pumping always be sure to keep the inflation valve cap on AT ALL TIMES to keep debris away from the valve
How To Deflate
-
Push inwards on the valve and rotate clockwise until the valve fully locks into the open position allowing air to continuously exit the valve. You may need to push in on the valve and manually allow air to escape the board for a few seconds before valve can lock into open position due to the high air pressure.
Care Instructions
-
Keep out of the sun when not in use • Keep below 12psi when in storage or in the sun
-
Dry off before storing • Keep valve cap on at all times
